Salt Lake County's Small Business Impact Grant

About the Grant

The Small Business Impact Grant (SBIG) is a COVID-19 relief program for small businesses in Salt Lake County funded with $40 million. Grants will be awarded through one-time payments up to $35,000 to eligible businesses that apply for funding.

? Applications opens here at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020. ?

Completed applications from eligible businesses will be processed in the order they are received. The application will be open until funds are exhausted.

To be eligible, businesses must:

Be based in Salt Lake County
Employ fewer than 100 employees
Not have already received federal, state or local COVID-19 financial aid
Provide documents verifying your financial loss
Have operated prior to Jan. 1, 2020
Be primary industries impacted directly by public health order closures including. Details on eligible industries can be found in the SBIG FAQ.

Utah Media Group Advertising Grant

Utah Media Group has announced a $2.1 million Small Business Advertising Grant matching dollar-for-dollar, for businesses that qualify, in order to help small businesses get back on their feet and get customers in the door.

Small Utah businesses of under 100 employees may apply for matching advertising funds in Utah’s leading news publications, Deseret News, Deseret News National Edition, and The Salt Lake Tribune, where for every dollar they spend, Utah Media Group will match it up to $25,000 during the grant period.

Grants are available for May, June and July and require a minimum of $600 or up to a maximum of $25,000. Businesses can apply online at grants.utahmediagroup.com.
