Millcreek Promise Raises Funds for Community Work

Millcreek Promise held its first ever fundraiser on Saturday, May 13th on Millcreek Common. With a lucky break in the rain, the participants of the event were able to come celebrate by playing yard games on the common and participating in a silent auction. The event was made possible from generous donations from First Utah Bank, Aviva Woman, Epic Fitness, Granite Credit Union, and Les Olson I.T., as well as donations from many other businesses who donated silent auction items. We are happy to announce that we raised $6,212 through sponsorships, ticket sales, and silent auction bids. The Promise team anticipates using these funds to support our afterschool programs throughout the city of Millcreek and to support community events. We are so grateful for the community and business partnerships we have grown over there years who continue to show up to support the Millcreek community!

We want to say a thank you to the following businesses who donated silent auction items:

NAPA

Crown Burger

The Other Side Academy

Get Involved with Millcreek Common's Weekday Playtivities!

Playtivites are free activities hosted every weekday from June 5 to August 19. Activities give kids, 12 and under, opportunities to experience art, music, dance and explore new ideas in health, wellness, and outdoor recreation.

Millcreek businesses and organizations can sponsor activities, from arts and crafts to on-site games and adventures. Last summer the Playtivities program was a great success at Millcreek Common. Families are eager to participate in summer fun and we anticipate the program will grow. The secret-sauce of the program’s success is the involvement of local businesses and organizations. It’s a unique opportunity to create long-lasting connections in the community.

We invite you to get involved. You can choose to participate once a week, once a month, or participate for one hour or three hours. You decide what works for your business. You can also choose to run an activity on-site or provide Millcreek with activity-components so our crew will manage the activity.

Businesses of the Month Spotlight

March 2023 - His and Her Waxing

1073 E 3300 S, Millcreek, UT, 84106

I, Madison, started in the esthetics industry in 2008. While working for another small business, I knew I was meant to run my own salon someday. In 2013, I officially opened up my doors and have taken the upmost pride in employing an all-female staff for almost 10 years.

I would have to say I grew with my dream. Never could I have imagined the success and growth we have experienced. Our team has continued to expand over the years to 10 lady bosses who have been able to buy first homes, dream cars, and expand their families.

Supporting our community and inspiring growth has been a huge part of what makes up His + Hers Waxing. We've been actively involved with Pride Utah over the years. We have also been the core contributor to The Red Dress Dinner.

In 2021 HHW relocated our headquarters to our forever home in Millcreek. We look forward to growing with and being a part of the community here!

April 2023 - Babb Hair Worx

2056 E 3300 S, Millcreek, UT, 84106

Hello! I’m Nicole Babb with Babb Hair Worx. We are a quaint standalone salon located in the heart of Millcreek.  We only use the highest quality of products to achieve your hair goals. I love helping with everything from a color correction to a detailed haircut.

I attended Evans Hairstyling College located in St. George Utah in 2005. I have specialized in hair color for 18 years. I participate in the community by offering a special discount to members of The Other Side Academy team as they work to turn their lives around for the better. I also raise money for an orphanage in Mazatlan, Mexico. The young girls in this orphanage send me their handmade products and I sell them in my salon. By selling products the young girls earn money which helps them move forward in their young adult life.
