Family Night

James E. Moss Elementary School Donations for Family Night!

James E. Moss Elementary is a Title 1 school in Millcreek. They are hosting a family night where kids and their families will leave with educational activities to do at home together. They need donations for prizes to make it a fun event for families! Please let Kayla know by Monday, November 13th if you are interested in donating any of these items!

Wreath Event

The Sammy Center Wreath Event!

As a nonprofit, The Sammy Center is constantly holding small to large events to help fund their program. This very fun wreath event will raise funds to help offset tuition for children to attend The Sammy Center. The Sammy Center is a preschool that fosters the social emotional wellbeing of children ages 3 to 5. The event will be located in a local art studio in Millcreek called Vitalize. Everyone will be guided to create a beautiful holiday wreath while we enjoy the company of other community members and friends.  They will have charcuterie trays, wine, soda and dessert.

Epic Fitness Wellness Corner - Commit 1.8% of your week to THIS!

By: Ben Fogel

I am a big fan of some of Salvador Dali’s work, and this piece above is one of my favorites.  The clocks are meant to symbolize the passing of time as one experiences it in a dream state.  I also see it as “time melting away.”

Which brings me to the topic of time…

“I don’t have enough time to workout.”

This is usually one of the obstacles thrown out there when someone is attempting to find the time to add fitness in their life.

The American Heart Association and the World Health Organization’s guidelines for exercise and activity are to engage in “150 minutes per week of moderate exercise.”  150 minutes per week.  Not a bad recommendation.  This is just 2 hours and 30 minutes a week – out of 168 total hours.
